Cascais is a great place to stay if you`re looking for a Portuguese city smaller than Lisbon with plenty of things to do; You can get a feel for the authentic Portugal by staying in Cascais.
Cascais is a stylish and sophisticated little town.
Cascais really has a classy and social atmosphere all around with delicious foods served in luxury hotels, specially "Hotel Cascais Miragem". The splendid views and blue ocean takes your breath away.
I had the privilege of staying in the Hotel Cascais Miragem. I was humbled to be in such an establishment. The welcoming of the staff was beyond my expectations, they were extremely attentive to my needs and very courteous.
I`m staying a corner suite, is a castle along the Atlantic cost, the room is bigger than most homes, yet even after your eyes have capture all of that beauty and comfort and luxury, you still be able to take in the unobstructed views of the ocean.
I took this time to enjoy the "Water Lounge", the five star retread upholds its grand distinction with facilities that future elegant touches with their mosaic titles, lounge chairs, jacuzzi with soft music for your wellbeing.
"Restaurant Gourmet" was one of the best experiences yet. From the arrival until my dessert it was an outstanding service from Gonçalo Fidalgo, his acknowledged and education on the recommendations and about the regions of the wines, and his discussion with Dra. Gabriela Botelho, their passion and enthusiasm, made my dinner and excellent stay.
The gourmet dinner with excellent presentation of a "nouvelle cuisine" and the splendid taste of the fish, shrimp, octopus, lobster and a glass of Portuguese wine, you`ll wonder why you haven`t had Portuguese food before.
Here are some of the dishes that I tried and absolutely suggest during anyone`s visit to this very distinguish restaurant.
